Stacey marries James-August 27  2016

Yes.....I's a winter wedding and you have got to expect that it might rain, or it might be cold....or both. Of course you hope it isn't either. It has been one of those 20+ years I havn't had this many wet winter weddings in one that's it....NO MORE !!!!

So you get the gist ?....It was wet and cold all day.

However, that did not stop Stacey and James getting married, because Leeuwin Estate has the Art gallery, which is perfect for that inside wedding, when it just HAS to be inside.

James still had a few tears in his eyes as he watched Stacey walk down the aisle.....and Stacey's dad was still beaming from ear to ear as he held his daughters arm....regardless of what was happening outside.

And where better to have a wedding reception on a cold winters night, than Leeuwin Estate, with those two wood fires throwing out that beautiful warmth.....

And then Stacey's stepdad puts on that ridiculous jacket.......well, you had to laugh, right !!!!

Anna married Adam at Xanadu Winery, Margaret River on Saturday 21st of feb 2015.

This was truly a special ceremony, officiated by celebrant Maureen Nicholson. I have never witnessed the groom read his entire vows without notes, without hesitation and so beautifully....Anna's vows were just as beautiful. They brought tears to a few eyes, including mine....and I never cry at weddings !!....well...almost never.

All the beautiful vintage inspired decorations were done by Anna herself. Gameswere supplied on the lawn for guests to play..made I believe by one of the guests himself....a frenchman called Pierre ? I hope someone corrects me if I am wrong.

I was introduced to a game called "Cornhole", which is a lawn Game in which players take turns throwing bags of corn at a raised platform with a hole in it at the far end. Very popular in the USA apparantly, which is where Andy hails from. It looks like wanted to have a go.......

The evening (well my part in it ) ended with one of the best bridal waltz's I have witnessed.......with Anna being twirled around and around high in the air for the big finish...fantastic !
