E-Session with Danielle and Brendan

Looking forward to this great couples wedding......they are getting married in the Boranup Forest and the reception is under the stars on the family farm at Carbonup River (if it rains there is always the shearing shed ) sounds nice and informal and down to earth.....definitly my favourite kind of wedding. These two are pretty down to earth and laid back also.....definitly my kind of people.

Along for the ride today were their fur babies (more points in this couples favour ), and so well behaved they were too.

Lynn and Alastair are from Scotland. They were married just 3 years ago. Their photographer was......well, a bit average....a lot of people have made that mistake....he/she seemed nice and cheap, and he/she talked the talk.....but he/she didn't deliver as promised. It's always sad to hear these stories, but these guys decided to do something about it, and dwelling on the past wasn't the answer.

So they are in Australia, on a belated honeymoon and determined to get some nice pics of themselves while they are here. They chose a 3 hour "lovers session", jumped in the back of the "Shag'n Wagon", and I took them to various locations near to where they were staying in Bunkers Bay.

I think we got some great are some of them.

Sometimes people book me for a portrait session, then on the day, they look out the window or check the weather forecast and it looks anything but perfect........naturally they want it perfect for their day so the session is cancelled.....and boy, that can be so frustrating !!!

Sometimes, though, they trust my judgement, and they decide to go ahead with it regardless of the weather......this was one of those days.

Even though we had to sit out a couple of showers, and brave a coldish wind and a persistant drizzle it paid off with awesome light, amazing clouds and even a rainbow made an appearance.  I wish every session was like this......but you don't get this on a "perfect day".

We ended up with pictures you just would not get on a blazing hot, cloudless day.

This is why I love shooting in the winter months
